I always love the change in seasons, as it means a change in fashions- which means that I get to hit the shops and make lots of stylish new investments.

This spring season, it’s all about florals and pretty prints, and as a really girly girl, I have to say that I’m absolutely loving them.

There are tonnes of really pretty little dresses in the shops already, and since February arrives this week, I think I’ll be making a few pretty purchases VERY soon.

Since this weather is so unpredictable though, I’ll be keeping my thick tights and cardies close to hand and layering though- better to be safe than sorry!

Although some people probably don’t like to admit it, most of us have a style icon- someone who we look up to and look to for a bit of style inspiration from time to time.

Even those who pride themselves on being totally individual when it comes to their dress sense have a sneaky peek at somebody else’s style occasionally- it’s only natural.

For the vast majority of people, their style icon is a celebrity or somebody who’s in the public eye.

Personally for me, I think that Victoria Beckham is always someone to look to for style inspiration- she always looks amazing and never gets it wrong.

Over the course of the past year, if there’s one dress style which has emerged victorious over others, it’s the skater dress- and it’s not hard to see why really!

Although body con dresses look amazing, they’re not for everyone and aren’t exactly the most forgiving of styles.

Skater dresses are the absolute opposite though, and fit and flare in all of the right places. Plus, as they can be dressed up or dressed down, you can wear them day or night and get lots of wear out of them.

There are loads of cute designs out there at the moment, so if you’ve not got in on the act yet, get your skates on!

I think that I speak on behalf of most females out there when I say that, as far as daytime attire is concerned, flashing too much flesh is an absolute no-no!

This doesn’t mean covering up in boring jeans and a t shirt every day- it just means looking trendy rather than tarty!

As a rule, for a night out it should be legs or cleavage- never both! Some ladies don’t seem to have got the knack of this though and insist on dressing as though they work in the local strip joint in the middle of the day! Not a good look.

Cringe is not the word!!

I don’t know about anyone else, but I thought that we’d got away with having a pretty mild winter, especially as February is now just a couple of days away.

Compared to the last couple of winters, we seem to have got off very lightly, so I’ve been slowly packing out the winter woollies and bringing out the floral prints. BAD MOVE!!

Over the past couple of days, the weather has reverted back to its icy worse- which was a massive shock to the system in a dress and opaque tights this morning.

Looks like I’ll be rummaging around in the wardrobe for something warmer tomorrow!
