Pop star Lily Allen is reportedly putting her music career on hold for the time being in order to pursue her ambitions in the world of fashion.
Lily has always maintained that she would love to move in that direction and after her successful second album ‘It’s Not Me, It’s You’ it appears that time has come. The star has already featured in a campaign for Chanel and has a jewellery range and a collection at high street store New Look, but she has decided to turn her attentions to opening a new boutique.
One of the ideas behind the boutique is to rent out designer outfits for customers to wear without having to spend a fortune buying them. The venture, which will be called Lucy In Disguise, is a partnership between Lily and her sister and it aims to make fashion more accessible for the countless ordinary people interested in it, but unable to afford it.
Few could argue that the idea isn’t a good one, but it remains to be seen whether Lily is the person to make it work.
