Maxi skirts have been around for a few seasons now, and even though I’m surgically attached to my body con mini dresses, I’ve tried out the trend a couple of times.

This season’s maxi skirts are a little different though- they’re see through. Ok, so they’re not totally see through as most have a little block panel at the top, but I’m still not sure of them.

I don’t quite get where you’d wear these skirts as they’re a bit revealing for the day (and they definitely won’t be ideal once the temperatures start to drop) yet they’re not dressy enough for the evening in my opinion.

I think I’ll pass…

This summer, my little crochet crop tops and waist coats have had some serious wear, and I’m glad to see that I won’t have to give the trend up completely just because autumn is about to arrive.

There are some brill autumn variations of one of summer 2011′s hottest styles around at the moment- I’m loving the slouchy crochet jumpers and fitted cardi’s.

I for one will definitely be carrying on with the crochet for a few more months yet- I’m thinking a crochet top, plain leggings or jeans topped of with a nice pair of knee high boots (I’ll be investing in a new pair of these of course!)

The nights might be starting to get darker and the temperatures might start to drop now (not that we’ve had much of a summer anyway) but this is definitely my favourite time of year when it comes to fashion.

In the summer, it’s all about flashing the flesh (whether you want to or not when it’s scorching) and in the winter it’s more about keeping warm and not catching a cold rather than looking super stylish.

Autumn is slap bang in the middle though and I love it! With autumn fashions you’ve got loads of choice when it comes to layering, and there are some fab fashions already in the shops.

One of the best things about birthdays and Christmas is that relatives often give you cash in place of a gift, which you can then save up and go on a mega shopping spree. The same happens when you get an unexpected windfall, or you win a cash prize from somewhere.

Not only are these kinds of shopping sprees perfect for updating your wardrobe but they’re also completely guilt-free, as you don’t have to dip into your savings nor spend your hard-earned cash.

One of the most fun and exciting ways to fund a huge shopping trip is online bingo, where you can play, chat and win huge jackpot amounts! The best site for fashion fans to make a beeline for is posh bingo, as its promotions are often geared towards sexy, sophisticated ladies who like cash, clothes and loads of free stuff.

Although you can check out other sites on ohmybingo.com, right now at posh bingo there are a number of exciting promotions on, such as £3k L.A. where you can win £2,500 in vouchers to spend on your dream holiday, as well as £500 in spending money!

There’s also £500 Al Fresco Fun, the Free £25,000 Joy Pot and the £1k Honey Trap, as well as Posh Swag – where there are digital cameras, Nintendo Wii’s and lastminute.com vouchers to be won!

Spring weather can play havoc with a girl’s wardrobe- it’s far too cold to step outside in your skimpy summer wear, yet a bit too warm to stay wrapped up in your thick winter woolies.

Feeling too hot and too cold can be equally as bad, so this means putting even more thought into your choice of outfit.

At this time of year, I find that layering usually works best i.e. teaming a vest top with a cardi. Jeans and leggings are both fab for when the weather’s still making it’s mind up too.

Whatever the weather though, there’s no excuse for letting your style crown slip!!

New female rapper on the block Nicki Minaj has had the gossip columnists in a frenzy with her choice of outfits- although the large proportion of column inches are slagging Ms Minaj off rather than celebrating her wardrobe choices.

I think I’m with the majority when I say that Minaj comes across as a massive try hard, in fact she’s getting as bad as the unsufferable desperado that is Lady Gaga.

Personally I think that music should speak for itself, and if your music’s up to scratch you shouldn’t need to attract attention to yourself with outfits which make you look like you’ve got dressed in the dark in a fancy dress shop!

Elen Rives- mother to Frank Lampards girls and recent ex girlfriend of tango tanned pop star Peter Andre- has got to have one of the wierdest senses of style out there- if you can even call it style!!

Elen’s a really attractive woman, has a fab figure and is only in her early 30s- but for some reason she insists on dressing like an old woman!!

Ok, so they might have a completely different approach to fashion in Elen’s native Spain but that’s no excuse any more- she’s got a top management team in the form of CAN Associates behind her and access to endless stylists.

Elen, sort it out- PRONTO!!!

Kim Kardashian is a bit like marmite- you either love her or hate her, and whilst many people are praising her for not conforming to the Hollywood ideal of being stick thin, there are also the haters who think she needs to put it away.

To be fair, although she does always opt for tight body con dresses, they’re never usually stupidly short, and most of the time they’re no shorter than knee length.

Personally I think Kim looks fab most of the time, and unlike some girls (see previous post on Lauren Goodger), she actually knows how to dress for her shape. And let’s not lie, that is one seriously sexy shape!

We hate to judge, and we especially hate to judge people based on stereotypes, although when it comes to the cheap and tackiness which is all too commonly associated with Essex, the ‘stars’ of the reality show seriously aren’t doing themselves any favours.

I think we’re all in agreement by saying that a seriously bright orange fake tan, dresses which are far too tight and cheap patent stilettos aren’t the way forward- although try telling that to this lot!

The worst offender is definitely desperado Lauren Goodger, who seems to be trying to convince herself that she’s a size 6 when she’s closer to a 14. This girl doesn’t walk around with 1 muffin top- she walks around with about 10!

These people seriously need a visit from the style police before season 2 starts.

According to style bible Vogue, this spring/ summer season it’s all about being in the nude- but before you start thinking that walking around completely starkers might be taking fashion just a bit too far, fear not as we’re simply talking about nude coloured clothing!

The catwalks have been full of pretty floaty nude skirts, city shorts and tailored dresses, and whilst it’s a pretty easy colour to pull off, I think that you do have to be careful not too take it too far, otherwise you’re just going to look plain stupid!

Teaming a nude top wide a classic black pencil skirt is perfect for the office, although if you really don’t fancy your chances at rocking the look successfully, a nude pair of platform courts never fails.
