Really bold colours are going to be all the rage in the coming months, and to be honest I don’t know how I’m going to cope!

It’s an on going joke amongst my friends that I’m very rarely seen in anything other than black mini body con dresses on a night out, and my work wardrobe also mainly consists of black pieces- which I occasionally break up with a bright accessory or two.

I feel most confident in black, and it’s always flattering and looks classy. On the other hand, brights can look really tacky if you’re not careful, so I’m afraid this is one trend which I’ll be more than happy to let pass me by- what can I say, I’m a wimp!!!

Although everyone else I know can’t stand Victoria Beckham, I think she’s fab, and she always looks nothing less than immaculate- even when she’s pregnant.

For some reason though, Posh always keeps a bit of a low profile when she’s expecting, although when she is snapped out and about she’s still rocking all of the latest styles.

Whether she’s a size zero or 9 months pregnant, Victoria knows how to dress for her figure, so I can’t wait to see what she pulls out of the bag in the coming months!

I’m predicting that baggy yet uber stylish one shoulder tops will be the order of the day again, although you can bet your bottom dollar that she’s not going to part with her 6 inch platforms for a good few months yet!

You might not find a man standing in front of a mirror quite as often as a woman, but that doesn’t mean he’s not focussed on how he looks. Having the right clothes to wear to different events is important, but it’s perhaps the things you wear the most often that matter most. And if you have to wear corrective lenses to correct your vision it’s perhaps your glasses that should be paid the most attention.

Men’s glasses are now available in a huge array of designs, with designer labels leading the market in how the new range of designer glasses look.

When choosing designer men’s glasses you need to think about how you will use them. Will they be used for work, for casual use or for sport’s use? Choosing a style of glasses will also depend on the age of the wearer, while one pair of glasses may suit a young person, someone older may look for something a little more distinguished as they may want to refrain from choosing cutting edge frames.

The price of glasses is something that everyone looks to when choosing, so a great place to find discounts is online. Choosing glasses online is really easy, you just have to choose your frames, enter your prescription and lens choice and they will be delivered to your home address.

Am I the only one thinking that this year’s X Factor contestants have been dressed really really badly!!! Cher with this high-street grime look is just painful to the eye, no love you just look like an extra from Byker Grove. Words fail me when I think about a middle aged man wearing head to toe white clothing, goodness gracious, what are these stylists playing it? Nobody wants to see this EVER! I can’t decide if Wagner’s look the other week was ever so slightly a cruise ship look or some kind of 1980’s Porn Star gone bad!!!

Most of the dresses and tops that I have seen on sale in Britain this winter have short sleeves – a hangover, I suspect, from the days when we would have been doing our laundry with a bucket and good old mangle. Those days my friend may have long gone, but those short sleeves have stuck, which is why…. we as a nation are obsessed with snug comfy cardigans. But long-sleeved tops or long-sleeve dresses – if you can find any – look much smarter and more elegant than a nice dress with a cardigan over it. Let me know if you spot any of these winter warmers!

History has seen some rather odd things come and go, fashion police being one of them! Here are a few odd and funny things ive found out…
If you are not wearing any socks then it is technically illegal to stand within one hundred yards of a ruling monarch.
It is illegal to enter the Houses or Parliament in a suit of Armour…Not sure how many people these days would want to give that one a go…but still.
Parisian women are banned from wearing trousers; the law states that if women wish to dress like men then they are to obtain the correct permission off the police.

I’ve heard people say call the fashion police, however I never thought for one minute that there was such a thing!!!! Oh how very wrong was i!!! It seems that there is such police in a small town in Naples; Police officers have been ordered to fine women who are wearing miniskirts and to fine women if they are showing too much cleavage. If you are found committing this crime could be fined up to three hundred euro. Although this did make me have a slight giggle I’m sure you will agree that this is just shocking, whatever next!!!!!!!!!!

Most of the nation is in agreement that Cheryl Cole is the ultimate style icon, from her clothes down to her lip gloss. Cheryl has been in the media spotlight for what seems like forever, with the public wanting to know her every movement giving her no privacy to deal with her divorce to footballer Ashley Cole. Also almost dying from malaria only 12 weeks ago, it has to be said that all things aside Cheryl is looking fabulous as ever. Every shop you go into today there is something similar to what Cheryl Cole wears, the world is going Chezza MAD!

I have a prediction or maybe a premonition that safety pin inspired jewellery is going to be on everywhere. Oh yes, you read that sentence correctly.
I’m not really sure whether or not this is pure inspiration or it’s an innovative concept. This could be up to the individual to decide.
Giles & Brother have created a safety pin necklace and earrings available at Browns Fashion.
More examples of the unusual concept can be found at Net-a-porter where a safety pin brooch, by the designer Lanvin, can be purchased.
What will be the next inspiration for designers I wonder, maybe paper clips or sewing needles. Watch this space.

Vampire movies and TV programmes have always been around but, with the Twilight films and books being so popular it was only of matter of time before they influenced the fashion world.
The ‘Gothic’ look has always been popular with designers such as Alexander McQueen and Vivienne Westwood but, now many other designers have embraced this look. Duffy for Kabiri at Selfidges and Thomas Sabo have created a new gothic range of jewellery.
Mawi have a crystal & skull metal bracelet available at net-a-porter whilst Pamela Love has focused on talons.
Dominic Jones’ collection, which is inspired by animal teeth and claws, can be found at Matches Fashion, Net-a-Porter and Browns Fashion.
